Nachwalter, the artisan, has fashioned fine handmade briar pipes for a quarter of a century. His pipes are owned and enjoyed by pipesmokers around the world. He makes his pipes one at a time at his pipestudio overlooking the Battenkill in southern Vermont.

Nachwalter selects the rarest of plateaux briar burls from the hillsides of Greece and Italy. Each burl is chosen for it's superior graining and smoking quality.
